I joined the group as Laboratory Coordinator in 2021 when the lab was first established in Helsinki. Today, I continue to manage our wet-lab operations on the Helsinki side, ensuring our research workflows run seamlessly. My role focuses mainly on patient-derived cancer models. Working closely with study nurses, I receive clinical cancer tissue samples and process them into 3D Patient-Derived Tissue Organoids (PDTOs), on which I perform functional drug testing. I also handle the preparation of frozen and formalin-fixed specimens for our sample cohort collection and oversee general laboratory maintenance.
